Go back to Viviere via the path or road. From there, there are two options: the GPS track shows the more challenging, but very scenic, path via Colle de Enchiausa. The paths are well marked, but the descent from the pass is steep, on loose stones. It's a short stretch, so just take it easy and soon you're on large rocks and and a more level path. The pass is a spectacular place with amazing scenery of the 'Dolomites of the Alps'.

Lago d'Apzoi is a pleasant place for lunch or an afternoon break. From there, follow the path further down, direction Saretto and then along the artificial lake (Lago di Saretto), and a final climb to Chiappera. This is a small picturesque village, at the end of the valley, and busy with tourists in summer. There are several options for lodging, but it is a good idea to call ahead in summer. The options include lodging managed by the restaurant in the old schoolhouse and the agriturismo La Provencale. You can also decide to continue on for a kilometer or so, to Rifugio Campo Base (also a campsite).
