Day 34 : Fondo to Le Cavanne

Follow the path, along the left side of the river, turning uphill at a waterfall; here you gently round the valleyside until you reach the village of Succinto (1164m), which until recently was not accessible by car; goods were transported to the town via a cable way. Continue through town, along the new access road (which was under construction when we passed by; a new path may have been constructed). In Piana di Cappia, keep left, and follow the path uphill, towards alpe Chiaramonte (2014m), a small summer dairy farm. Continue to Rifugio Chiaramonte (unstaffed) and further round the mountain, until Colle Lavasoza (2147m) , from where you go down to Scalaro, Alpe Fuma, to finally reach Le Cavanne and it's agriturismo/posto tappa Le Capanne.
