A rather straightforward stage: from the church in Rima, follow the markings, leaving the village and going up the wooded mountain. A steady climb follows to Colle del Termo (2351m) after which you descend past deserted huts and down to Carcoforo. You can opt to stay here in Albergo Alpenrose, or decide to continue for another 45 minutes to Rifugio Boffalora. For the latter, it is a good idea to call and check whether they are open on the day you arrive.
