From the Rifugio, continue along the path to Colle d'Egua (2239m), from which you have a great view of Monte Rosa. Follow path 517 down to the small settlement, of Alpe Selle, after which you continue down, on a paved track, along Lago di Baranca and the Rifugio Alpe Baranca. After the rifugio, the valley becomes narrower and after a while, you meet the first houses of Campo, from where you follow the quiet road to Santa Maria and the trattoria with its posto tappa.
